Chief Executive Officer

A Place Called Hope Community Services Inc is a start-up Arizona Non-Profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt Services agency.  Originally founded in 2002 under the name, A Place Called Hope.   Phil and Vivian have a passion to help keep hope alive in individuals and families.  They founded a community church with significant social outreach to at-risk families.  In 2002 they established two community-based residential behavioral health centers with a focus on adjudicated youth ages 11 - 18. 

 A Place Called Hope Community Services Inc works in collaboration with other community partners and stakeholders to serve the greater Phoenix community with a full array of community services.

Vivian, Phil, and the team continue to take  A Place Called Hope to new heights in providing community services including community referral and direct assistance.  Individuals facing homelessness (evections/foreclosure), homeless housing for veterans (Opening in 4th quarter 2023), Disaster Relief Rapid Response Teams (working wth  FEMA), homeless encampment cleanup, emergency meals, and other human services.

He has been a business owner in the private sector as owner / managing partner of several entities.

in community engagement, mental health agency development /operations, and entrepreneurial experience, and has been a champion to the community of at-risk populations.  Phil continues to expand the reach and effectiveness of A Place Called Hope Community Services Inc through a partnership with community partners and stakeholders to provide needed help, services, and hope to folks challenged with unplanned life events.

A private consulting firm, establishing corporate relationships, event planning, individual giving, and legacy gifts. 

Phoenix Day, Early Childhood Education, Inc.  

Former Executive Director     

Provided oversight of budget, programs, and operational management of the Phoenix Day organization, a 100-year-old preschool in downtown Phoenix. Managed a staff of 28 teachers and 5 case managers. Initiated, developed, and implemented a strategic plan for board development, marketing, and fund development strategies. 

Fund Development and Marketing-Empact – SPC, Inc.   

Former Director of Marketing /Fundraising

Provided and implemented board development plans, marketing and fund development strategies. Created fundraising opportunities to successfully achieved 100% of a $10 million annual budget. 

Phoenix Inner City Outreach Center, Inc.  

Founder and Former CEO,

Provided team building, leadership and development to a multicultural staff while handling the financial budget of five significant departments. Successfully raised a $1 million-dollar annual budget. Conducted more than 200 speaking events, traveling extensively in the United States and Puerto Rico for community outreach marketing.

Administered a 55-bed drug treatment program for adults with life controlling problems, overseeing all staff personal and training. Group family counseling, client case management, and education. wraparound services, and other services as needed for each client.
